Garrett Smith’s songs bring a blend of Red Dirt Texas Country and hard-hitting Southern Rock, reflecting his life throughout Texas. Whether it’s a two-stepping song for the dancefloor, a spring break anthem for the beach, or a rock n’ roll song to get you down the highway, Garrett Smith has you covered.
Having grown up in a small, Texas Panhandle town during the rise of Red Dirt Texas Country, some of his major influences include Kevin Fowler, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Willie Nelson. But his rock n’ roll side stems from blasting Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, and Scorpions in his trucks and offices over the years. He has played numerous venues, including New Braunfels’ historic Phoenix Saloon, the Firehouse Saloon in Houston, Billy Joe’s Craft House in Port Aransas, LT Corner Pub Austin during SXSW, and Michael Berry’s Redneck Country Club in Stafford. On occasion, he has been seen sharing a stage with the likes of Steven James & the Jaded, Rich O’Toole, AJ Guel, Vanessa Lynn Bird, Jarrod Johnson, and many others.
The album “Texas Forever” was released in July 2018, as a remaster/compilation of Garrett’s first two albums, “A Long Time Coming” (2016) and “Reloaded” (2018), and his song “Give it Two Steps” has risen above 16,000 plays on Spotify as of January 2019.
